Community Accountability Planning Submissions (CAPS) and Multi-Sector Service Accountability Agreements (M-SAA)

The Local Health System Integration Act, 2006 (LHSIA) requires that the Local Health Integration Networks (LHIN) have a service accountability agreement (SAA) in place with each health service provider (HSP) it funds. The Mississauga Halton LHIN and community-based HSPs entered into Multi-Sector Service Accountability agreements for a three-year period effective April 1, 2014 to March 31, 2017.

In light of ongoing implementation planning underway across the province so that proposed Patient First implementation could proceed in a timely and seamless fashion, there was pan-LHIN agreement to minimize the changes to SAAs this year. As such, a one-year extension to the current 2014-2017 Multi-Sector Service Accountability Agreement (MSAA) will be issued to HSPs with a new expiry date of March 31, 2018.

In order to retain the integrity of the existing MSAAs and 2016/17 Schedules, which are both LHIN Board and HSP Board approved, the Mississauga Halton LHIN will require the CAPS to be updated only if an HSP received new funding during 2016/17 or received approval for service changes.

Further updates and additional documents for the 2017/18 MSAA process will be posted as they become available.
